When taking on projects around the house, be mindful of preventing injuries where something pierces the skin. If you do happen to get a rusty nail through your skin, make sure you are up to date on your tetanus shots or you could risk serious infection.

If you are doing any electrical work or working around wires, always turn off the power before you start. If you aren’t careful, you could get into some electrical wires that are on, risking electrocution.

If you think you have been electrocuted, and it’s significant or severe with burn marks on your body, stop what you’re doing and go to the emergency room right away!
