The best Barcelona hotels near the beach

Advice

All hotels have been independently reviewed and selected. We will earn a commission if you book via the links below, but this never affects our rating.

No one comes to Barcelona just for the beach – there’s far too much else going on – but no one can resist its charms either, whether your bag is an early-morning stroll under the palm trees to beat the crowds, or a late afternoon dip to cool off after a day’s sightseeing. Strict planning laws mean there are very few seafront hotels, but a short walk from the water’s edge you’ll find glitzy five-stars, laidback boutique retreats and everything in between.

Many of these listed have stunning views not just out to sea, but over the city to the hills. Opt for an art-filled design haven or grand retreat with a more old-world feel; take in beach and city views from panoramic rooftops and make the most of outstanding culinary and wellness venues. Read on to discover our pick of the best beach hotels in Barcelona placing you close to the sandy shores proving so enticing year-round.
