AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced Jan. 23 in connection with a January 2021 homicide investigation.
According to court documents, 22-year-old Anthony Scott pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.
The sentence was in connection with the death of 19-year-old Jose Rodriguez, who was found shot in a car in north Austin.
Toward his sentence, Scott will receive a jail credit of 882 days.
