U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan on Thursday agreed to allow former President Donald Trump to file his response to special counsel Jack Smith‘s immunity filing until after the presidential election, a filing shows.

Trump’s lawyers had asked for a date in late November to submit their retort to the filings submitted by federal prosecutors, but Chutkan set the deadline for November 7.
