COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man was arrested hours after two students overdosed on psilocybin mushrooms at a Colorado Springs middle school, according to police.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said the incident happened at Fox Meadow Middle School around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. The students were taken to Memorial Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Investigators learned that the two students and two other juveniles connected with an alleged drug dealer through a phone app the night before. The juveniles then met the alleged dealer in the parking lot of a King Soopers on Cheyenne Meadows Road.
CSPD said detectives pretended to be one of the juveniles and set up another meeting with the alleged dealer, identified as 21-year-old Damien Solano.
