Blake Shelton has always taken pride in his relatability, and recently, it says that this facet of his personality and his physicality has proven lucrative for him.

In an episode of The Pat McAfee Show that aired Thursday, September 19, Shelton, 48, he explained that his appeal to the regular person is how he’s been able to maintain his popularity over the years.

“I’m a country singer,” Shelton said. “We don’t have to be in shape. We are supposed to be relatable.”

Elsewhere in the clip, Shelton explained that a certain asset of his has earned him a wealth of revenue.

“My man boobs are worth a lot of money,” said Shelton, which prompted laughter from the show’s crew. “Because my fans look at me and go ‘Man, look at that. It is okay to have these man boobs.'”

According to Parade, Shelton has an estimated net worth of $130 million. He was also voted People‘s Sexiest Man Alive in 2017.

Shelton married singer Gwen Stefani in 2021 and became a stepfather to her children — Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10. This past July, Shelton supported Zuma as he performed in an Oklahoma bar.

In an interview with Good Morning America originally published in April, Shelton opened up about becoming a stepfather to Stefani’s children, and how this has made him more selfless.

“I learned quickly, not because anything happened, but just, you know, reading the room, you’ve really got [to think], ‘I have to take a step back,'” he said. “When people say it’s not about you anymore when you have a kid… I think, if you’re doing it right, it’s not about you anymore. That’s true.”
