Some Verizon Wireless customers will see their phone bills increase next month.

Verizon is reducing its Auto Pay discount from $10 per month to $5 per month for customers on older plans. The company announced the change in an email to customers.

Several social media users shared that they received the email and expressed disappointment in the change.

“We are committed to bringing you our best network and services,” the email reads. “Our focus on ongoing innovation enables us to give our customers the best. To ensure we deliver premium experiences and offers, sometimes we need to make adjustments.”

Customers on the following plans will see their discount reduced on or after Oct. 10:

  • Play More Unlimited, Do More Unlimited, Get More Unlimited
  • Play More Unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband, Do More Unlimited 5g Ultra Wideband, Get More Unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband
  • 5G Start, 5G Play More, 5G Do More, 5G Get More
  • Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, Above Unlimited
  • 55+ Unlimited Plan, New Verizon Plan Unlimited

Customers can check the name of their plan by logging in to My Verizon.

Those on the older plans who switch to one of the current myPlan options will be eligible to receive the $10 Auto Pay discount. Customers already on one of those plans are not affected by the change.
