Police are looking for a gunman in a silver SUV who opened fire, hitting a woman in the head Wednesday night in the South Deering neighorhood.

About 9:45 p.m. the victim, 24, was traveling in a vehicle in the 1500 block of East 95th Street when someone inside a silver SUV opened fire and shot her in the head, police said.

She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made and Area Two detectives are investigating.
