Yes, the morning dawned cold and crisp, with a Freeze Warning in effect until 8 a.m. for Chicagoland’s northern counties and a Frost Advisory in effect for its southern counties. But a warm-up is coming, and quickly.

It won’t get real warm on Thursday, with easterly winds keeping highs in the low 50s along the lake, though it should get into the 60s inland. It will also get sunnier as the day goes along.
