A search was underway in New Jersey on Thursday for Danielle Lopez, a 37-year-old woman who has not been heard from for more than a month.

Lopez was last seen on April 13 around 9 a.m., according to state police. She was leaving the Wawa on Route 72 in the Vincentown section of Southampton in Burlington County at time. On Wednesday, state police announced they located Lopez’s vehicle, a 2008 2-door blue Hyundai Accent, disabled on Lost Lane Road in Penn State Forest in Woodland Township. The wooded area encompasses more than 3,300 acres of the Pine Barrens in Burlington County, according to NJ.com.

So far, few other details have been provided in connection with her disappearance. Both the New Jersey State Police Missing Person’s Unit and its Human Trafficking Unit are assisting in the search. They have called on members of the community who may have information about Lopez’s whereabouts to come forward.

The missing woman has been described as 5-foot-4 and approximately 135 lbs. She also has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police noted Lopez is known to frequent  Brendan T. Byrne State Forest as well as Pemberton Township and Willingboro.

Anyone who may know something regarding Lopez’s location has been asked to contact state police. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
