Authorities in Burlington are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a gas station early Wednesday morning at gunpoint.

Burlington police said officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to the Mobile gas station at 173 Bedford St. for the reported armed robbery. At the scene, the store’s employees told officers that a man entered the business wearing a mask and gloves and brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, demanding cash.

He then left the store, taking with him about $400, and was seen traveling east on Bedford Street, police said.

Officers searched the area with the assistance of a K-9 unit but could not find the man.

“The suspect is described as an adult man, approximately 5-feet-10 inches tall, who was wearing a mask and gloves,” police said.

No one was injured in the robbery, and police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is being asked to contact police at 781-272-1212.
