More rain Thursday but warm Mother’s Day weekend anticipated

After a wet Tuesday, which saw large portions of the Chicago area receive around 2 inches of rain, the region is preparing for another rain-maker system to arrive Wednesday night.

Clouds will increase during the evening, with showers and storms set to arrive by Thursday morning. Temperatures will drop from Wednesday’s daytime highs in the 70s and 80s to mid-50s Thursday afternoon.  

A warmer weekend ahead is expected with sunshine for Mother’s Day.
