This Mother’s Day weekend, travelers can score discounted international airfare and a chance at a year’s worth of free flights with low-cost airline PLAY.

PLAY launched a 25 percent off sale on Wednesday that runs through May 15. At the same time, the airline announced a giveaway taking place through May 12 where one lucky traveler can win free PLAY flights for a year to more than 40 destinations.

The sale applies to trips between July and December from Boston to the following 10 destinations: Iceland, Amsterdam, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Gothenburg, Hamburg, London, Paris, and Stockholm.

“We want to celebrate all of our travelers and passengers with this exciting promotion,” PLAY CEO Einar Örn Ólafsson said in a statement. “Travelers can take advantage of this discount on our already affordable flights to visit more tourist destinations this year and enter for the chance to fly with us for free for a whole year.”

PLAY flights are available from the airline’s four U.S. destinations: Logan International Airport, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, New York Stewart International Airport, and Dulles International Airport.

The discounted flights from New York are good for trips between June and December, while the discounted flights from Boston, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. are good for trips between July and December.

The deal applies to airfare, not taxes, fees, additional services and carrier charges, according to the airline, and restrictions and baggage fees apply.

The sale on flights ends on May 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Travelers can enter the giveaway by May 12 at 11:59 p.m. ET by signing up for the airline’s newsletter. One winner, the airline’s “Tourist of the Year,” will be announced on May 16 after a random drawing and notified by mail.
