Paramount+ releasing doc series on Lollapalooza’s history

CHICAGO — Paramount+ announced a documentary series Monday chronicling the history of Lollapalooza.

“Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza” is being released on May 21 in a three-part series, according to the network.

The series is being produced by MTV and FunMeter in partnership with C3 Presents, which is the company that puts on the festival.

The series will focus on its beginnings in 1991 by founder and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell all the way through the present.

Trent Reznor, Tom Morello, Lars Ulrich, Ice-T and Flea are featured in the trailer.
