CHICAGO — A community alert was issued after five armed robberies early Saturday morning throughout Logan Square, Wicker Park and West Town.
Police said the victims were approached by suspects in a four-door silver sedan, possibly a Toyota or Mazda.
In two incidents, the victims were struck in the face with pistols and in another a shot was fired as a victim ran away.
A timeline of the incidents is below, per Chicago police.
- 1:00 a.m. — 2400 Block of North Maplewood Ave.
- 1:31 a.m. — 800 Block of North Hermitage Ave.
- 1:47 a.m. — 2300 Block of West Wabansia Ave.
- 1:42 a.m. — 2700 Block of North Spaulding Ave.
- 1:47 a.m. — 1300 Block of West Erie Ave.
The gunmen were wearing green and gray hoodies, black pants, approximately 18-26 years old and 5’8″-6′, 150-200 lbs.
