A multi-car crash in Fort Lauderdale involving a sheriff’s deputy left 10 people injured, including a pregnant woman and child, on Saturday morning, fire officials say.

Around 10:45 a.m., 911 dispatchers were alerted to a multi-vehicle crash near the 2700 block of West Sunrise Boulevard, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane said.

First responders discovered 10 people involved in the crash. Firefighters and paramedics from four separate fire departments rushed to the scene: Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue, Lauderhill Fire Rescue and Plantation Fire Rescue.

The 10 injured were taken to Broward Health Medical Center; all had non-life-threatening injuries, Kane said.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
