Person hospitalized after Southern California shooting

A person was shot and wounded in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles Thursday morning.

The shooting was reported just before 11 a.m., and when officers arrived to the 400 block of Gramercy Place, they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

An ambulance was requested for that person, whose condition and identity have not been released.

The suspected shooter, a 40-year-old man, was taken into custody, police said.

Aerial footage from Sky5 showed a large police presence in the area.
