Chicago police search for man wanted in attempted sex assault on Near West Side

CHICAGO — Chicago police have released new surveillance images of the man wanted for attempted sexual assault on the city’s Near West Side.

On April 14, a 35-year-old woman was walking northbound on Carpenter Street from Randolph Street the Fulton Market, when she was approached from behind by the man, according to police.

Police said the suspect grabbed the woman by the waist and put his hands over her mouth. The man then dragged the woman to an alley and she was able to bite his index finger, causing him to throw her to the ground.

On Wednesday, police released the following images of the suspect wanted in the attempted assault.
