Melrose Park seek help identifying man, driver involved in deadly hit-and-run crash

MELROSE PARK, Ill. — The Melrose Park Police Department is investigating after a man riding a motorbike was killed Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. near North Avenue and 5th Avenue.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man has died.

Police said the man is Black, in his 30s and was riding a black motorized bicycle. The driver who hit him is also unidentified, police said.

Police are asking for anyone with friends or family who match that description to check on them.
