HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A husband and wife are dead after a violent murder-suicide in northwest Harris County overnight.

First responders were dispatched to a home in the 6500 block of Desert Rose Lane, near Antoine Drive, early Monday morning in response to a fire.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said it appears the man set his wife and himself on fire. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Two adult children were home at the time but were not hurt, according to Gonzalez.

Video from the scene shows fire damage to the home’s garage.

HCSO did not immediately release the names of the man and woman who died.
