Three children were injured after a minivan rolled down a hill and slammed into a baseball field in Woodstock Saturday morning, officials said.

The car crashed into the backside of a concrete dugout of Dream Field in Emricson Park at around 9:43 a.m., according to Woodstock police. Four children, who ranged in age from 12 to 13, were sitting in the car and accidentally slipped it into drive while adjusting the radio.

The car then traveled down the hill and towards the field, where a baseball game was in progress. Three of the children were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries, officials said.

The parents who owned the vehicle were watching the game.

Nearly a dozen teenage baseball players were inside the dugout but protected by the concrete barrier. No citations were issued, police said.
