HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An arrest has been made in connection to the fatal shooting of a 74-year-old retired school teacher at a senior living facility in west Houston, according to records.

Documents read that a man by the name of Clifton John Allen has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of Carol Webber on April 13, documents read.

According to the Houston Police Department, Webber was found shot to death on the floor of her apartment at the Treemont Living Facility at 2:30 p.m.

At the time, police said there was no suspect description or motive. Residents in the area also claimed that management did not immediately notify them of a shooting.

In court documents, the address listed for Allen matched the living facility where the victim was found. Allen is said to have owned a store called “Forget Me Nots-Gift Shop,” that was operated from his apartment, documents read.

The suspect’s connection to the victim remains unclear at this time.

Allen was scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
