Fight on boat docked near Brooklyn Army Terminal leaves 3 injured

Three people were hospitalized after a fight broke out on board a party boat at Brooklyn’s Pier 4, near the Brooklyn Army Terminal.

The NYPD said officers responded just after 5 p.m. to reports of assault with a knife on board the Cornucopia Majesty, which was docked at Pier 4. The NYPD said an altercation on the boat had become physical before police arrived on scene.

The Cornucopia Majesty can hold up to 1,200 guests, according to the company that rents out the boat.

Officials said police found three injured men at the scene. Two had stab wounds and one had been hit in the head with a bottle. First responders transported all three men to NYU Langone Hospital and said they were in stable condition.

A party promoter called BYFAR Entertainment was hosting a series of events called BYFAR On a Boat on the Cornucopia Majesty on Saturday, according to social media posts.

The organization updated ticket holders on social media after the fight, saying a previously scheduled nighttime boat party was postponed after “a crime scene developed by the pier.”

“BYFAR Entertainment has always been a beacon of safe events in New York City and this rare occurrence has never been the norm with us,” BYFAR posted on Instagram.

Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
