CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. — Police in Crystal Lake have charged a woman with operating an illegal child care facility following reports of an injured child, police said Friday.

According to police, officers received information from the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) that harm to a child may have occurred in the 1400 block of Woodscreek Circle.

An investigation revealed that 61-year-old Ann Migleorado, of Crystal Lake, allegedly caused physical injury to a child in her care in what police later learned was at an unlicensed facility.

The child’s injuries were not considered life-threatening but did require medical care, police added.

As a result of the investigation, Migleorado is charged with aggravated battery to a child causing great bodily harm and operating a child care facility without a license. Police did not issue a booking photo of Migleorado.

Anyone with additional information should call police at (815) 356-3620.
