Forest Hills Stadium announces summer concert lineup including Neil Young, Pitbull

A wide variety of artists will play Forest Hills Stadium this summer, the Queens music venue announced.

Neil Young, Hozier and The National will be some of the biggest names on the marquee. Forest Hills will also host EDM artists Tiesto and Gryffin, along with hitmaker Pitbull.

“This is a special and unique place that needs thoughtful care and systemic collaboration,” concert producer Mike Luba said in a previous statement. “Our commitment is to honor the past while also providing an entirely distinct and singular patron experience.”

In addition to the shows, Forest Hills Stadium will host the Head in the Clouds music festival on on May 11 and 12. The festival lineup was announced in February and includes EDM artists Illenium and Dabin along with K-pop star BIBI.

The summer series begins May 4 with Maynard James Keenan’s “Sessanta” concert.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse will play two shows on May 14 and 15, both of which are already sold out, according to Forest Hills Stadium. Other sold-out shows include all four Hozier concerts happening June 4-8 and Khraungbin’s performance on Sept. 21. Tickets were still available for the Sept. 20 Khraungbin concert.

Additional performers include the Avett Brothers on May 17, Pixies and Modest Mouse on June 15, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard on Aug. 16 and 17, Pitbull on Aug. 25, The National and The War on Drugs on Sept. 13, Kings of Leon on Sept. 18 and The Marley Brothers on Sept. 22.

Along with the various musical acts, Forest Hills Stadium will host the “Ultimate Tennis Showdown” on Aug. 22 and 23 with several men’s tennis stars playing exhibition matches before the U.S. Open begins Aug. 26 in Flushing.
