A dirt bike rider has been charged with manslaughter for fleeing the scene of a Queens crash that killed his friend nearly two years ago, police said Tuesday.
Raytawon Wright lost control of his Qipai Hunier dirt bike and crashed into a bench on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk near Beach 47th St. about 3 p.m. Aug. 29, 2022. Wright’s friend, 26-year-old friend David Molina, was riding on the back of the dirt bike.
Molina was flung form the bike and slammed his head on the ground.
A 55-year-old rollerblader was struck by the dirt bike and was hospitalized with a minor head injury.
Police say Wright ran off, abandoning his dirt bike and leaving his friend dead at the scene.

Wright, now 26, lives in Brooklyn and has no prior arrests, according to cops.
He was picked up on an arrest warrant Monday and arraigned on an indictment charging him with manslaughter, assault and leaving the scene of an accident, making a false report, reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court Monday and was ordered held on $25,000 bail.
Molina lived about four miles away, in Cedarhurst, LI.
His mother after learning of his death said the last time she spoke to him he told her he was getting ready for a plumber’s job interview.
“I don’t know what happened,” Lily Molina said in Spanish through anguished sobs.
Molina’s aunt was furious.
“(That) friend of David’s, he only took him out to die,” Mirna Figueroa Rivas said, speaking through a translator. “(He did) so much damage. (David) was a good man.”
