AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Fire Department said crews were responding to a fire shortly after noon Wednesday at a dental office in a commercial strip on West Parmer Lane.

The department also said there were reports of pressurized gas containers involved, with a possible explosion. AFD said on the scene that one of the canisters had exploded, but no injuries were reported in the incident.

AFD initially posted about the fire on social media at 12:23 p.m. and posted photos in a follow-up, which showed the fire was at an Aspire Dental office in the area.

Austin-Travis County EMS said no one was transported to any hospitals due to the incident.

AFD told a KXAN photojournalist on the scene that the fire was knocked out by 1:45 p.m. and crews were searching for hotspots but that no injuries were reported.

The department also said the fire started in a rear storage room and spread to the roof.

The Aspire office shares a building with a chiropractic office and a bank.
