Madison High School protest: Students walk out in protest of principal and football coach

US
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A large crowd grew outside James Madison High School Thursday morning as students walked out reportedly in protest of the school’s principal and head football coach.

The Houston ISD school is located in southwest Houston on White Heather Drive.

Neither HISD nor the high school have offered any statements on what is taking place, but Eyewitness News has learned that the walkout could be tied to students’ attitudes toward their football coach.

In a news release sent to ABC13 by organizers of the demonstration, a reported recording has made the rounds, purportedly showing the head football coach and assistant coaches using “sexually explicit language” in front of students.

Additionally, the group calls out the principal over other issues, including “excessive fighting, children having sex on the campus, and excessive drug use on and off campus on the student parking lot.”

SkyEye captured video of the students outside the school Thursday morning.
