Where do I find my sublimation designs to print? I am getting a ton of questions about what types of designs work with a sublimation printer and how to find them. Well, let’s answer all of those questions today! Keep reading to see the types of designs you should use for sublimation and my 5 favorite sites for finding the ones that I use.

What Sublimation Images Can You Print?
First things first, you can really print any image or picture with your sublimation printer. It can be JPG or PNG format. If you have an image on your phone that you took of your children, you could print that on your sublimation printer.
Technically, you want any images to be a resolution of 300 DPI. Don’t get caught up in that number though! Most modern-day cameras take pictures at a resolution that is fine for printing on your sublimation printer. Snap pictures of your kids with your phone and print them on your sublimation printer.
If you’re using pictures that you’ve taken in the past, you might find some of the quality diminished because of that resolution requirement. I did scan copies of some really old pictures, and the resolution wasn’t great. It did give me that really old sepia tone to my project and I actually liked it. If the photo isn’t at the resolution you want, just print it and try it on a cheap blank or a roll of 100% polyester fabric. I think you might find that you like the look.
Where to Find Sublimation Designs
If you’re looking for other images and sublimation designs, I have five places where I tend to get those. Let’s run down the top five places where I find sublimation designs for my sublimation projects.
Design Bundles
The first one is Design Bundles. There are tons of great options for sublimation designs. The thing I like about them is they have a really great freebie section, so you might just find something in the freebie section that you like for your sublimation project.
Creative Fabrica
The second one is CreativeFabrica for all of those same reasons. There is a huge library of designs, which is wonderful. Again, they have a really large freebie area, so it’s a really great place to find some of those freebies for your sublimation projects.
SoFontsy
Number three is SoFontsy. They have tons of different SVG files, of course, but also sublimation designs, if you did not know that.
Etsy
My number four place that I always turn to is Etsy. Those would all be purchased designs, but I tend to find a wide variety of designs there. Plus, I get to support a small business, so it’s kind of a win-win for me. I usually turn to Etsy for sublimation prints I can’t find other places.
HungryJPEG
Finally, number five is HungryJPEG. It’s another really great site for finding those images for your projects. Now, they do have a freebie area, however, it’s not as large as DesignBundle or CreativeFabrica. You can definitely surf around there and find some freebies as well. They have a ton of great designs and bundles that you can check out for your sublimation projects.
I hope this helps you find all of the sublimation designs and get started creating with your sublimation printer. Whether you just got a printer and are just getting started with sublimation, or you’ve been doing sublimation for a while, maybe this will give you some ideas for places to get new designs and start making all those things because there’s so many sublimation blanks on the market.
