How to remove popcorn ceilings:​

1. Prep by removing or covering furniture and fixtures.​
2. Spray the ceiling with a water and dish soap mixture.​
3. Scrape off the texture, working at a 45 degree angle.​
4. Cover imperfections or holes with spackle, then sand.​
5. Finish with a coat of paint.​
6. Say hello to the 21st century.
