‘LOTR: The Rings Of Power’ After Show ‘Inside The Ring’: Season 1 Finale – Sauron Revealed, The Stranger’s Journey & What’s Coming In Season 2

SPOILER ALERT: This video contains details & exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the eighth and final episode of Season 1 of Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which dropped on October 13. Watch past episodes of Inside the Ring here.

The true identity of the villainous Sauron is unveiled, the Stranger’s journey begins, the ancient Numenorian King passes and a certain trio of rings are forged.

Add to that, the return of the now blind  Queen Regent (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) to her divided kingdom and the stark recognition by Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) of deadly betrayal, and you have a bursting Season 1 finale to The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – as you can see in the video above of Deadline’s Inside the Ring, the Rings of Power after show.

As cast and key creative reveal, the Gennifer Hutchison and J. D. Payne & Patrick McKay written “Alloyed” also sets up all the pieces for a clearly harder hitting second season, expected in 2024. For our last episode this season, we are joined by Sauron/Halbrand himself Charlie Vickers, plus showrunners Payne and McKay, and executive producer Lindsey Weber. Additionally, episode director and EP Wayne Che Yip and composer Bear McCreary share their behind-the-scenes insights as to how the eighth and final episode of Rings of Power Season 1 came together, twists and all.

Watch the video above to see it all.

Set to run for five seasons, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is led by showrunners and EPs Payne & McKay. They are joined by executive producers Weber, Callum Greene, J.A. Bayona, Belén Atienza, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, Gennifer Hutchison, Bruce Richmond, and Sharon Tal Yguado, and producers Ron Ames and Christopher Newman.
