Police: Woman struck, killed by driver trying to flee fight in Queens

NEW YORK – Police are searching for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run in Queens.

It happened around 2:40 a.m. Saturday at 97th Avenue and 120th Street in South Richmond Hill.

Police say officers responded to call about a large group fighting at 95th Avenue and 120th Street.

They say a man attempting to flee the fight in a white car then hit a 31-year-old woman. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Four men were also injured in the fight but are expected to be OK.
