‘Skeletal remains’ found off Kennedy in Bucktown: state police

An investigation is underway following the discovery of ‘skeletal remains’ found off the Kennedy Expressway Sunday afternoon in Bucktown, according to officials.

Around 12:25 p.m. Sunday, state troopers received a call from Chicago police about the apparent remains found in an embankment adjacent to the northbound lanes at 1830 W. Webster Ave., Illinois state police said.

An examination is scheduled after the discovery, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No further information was immediately available.
