Two roadway workers were “seriously injured” in a crash on 1-90 in Boston Saturday morning, authorities said.

Massachusetts State Police said Pedro Campos, 32, was allegedly driving drunk when he drove his Nissan Pathfinder into a work zone and struck two workers on the Beacon Street Overpass.

The left lane of I-90 was open for cars, while the center and right lanes were shut down for construction, police said. When first responders arrived at the crash, they said, they found Campos’s car in the work zone, crashed into an elevated lift that had two workers on board.
