An unidentified man was found overnight fatally wounded inside a residence in the Near South Side neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a man was discovered unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the body in a residence in the 2000 block of South State Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
