A 35-year-old man was fatally wounded Friday night on the Far South Side in the Roseland neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., the man was sitting in a parked vehicle with a female victim when a known person approached on foot and opened fire, police said.

The victim was taken with a gunshot wound to the head to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.

He was identified as Marzelle C. Moore of the West Pullman neighborhood, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
