Thursday forecast: Another sunny, splendid fall day in Chicagoland

US

Chicagoland is in a stretch of splendid early-fall weather, and that’ll continue on Thursday.

Some morning cloud cover will clear into the afternoon, paving the way for abundant sunshine. Early-morning temperatures ranged in the 40s and 50s around the area, and they’ll rise up into the mid- to upper 70s during the afternoon, though a lake breeze will keep things a tad cooler along the lakefront.

There is a slight chance of rain Friday morning, but then it’ll be another day of sunshine. Friday’s highs could have a large range, with lakeside areas in the upper 60s and areas further south and west in the mid- to upper 70s.

The great fall weather looks to continue right through the weekend, with highs approaching 80 on Saturday.
