A 13-year-old boy last seen on surveillance video outside a car wash in Arizona may now be in California, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

In a news release, NCMEC stated that Elijah Gumbus has been missing for one month; he was last seen leaving a car wash on foot in Tolleson, Arizona on Aug. 31.

Tolleson is a city in Maricopa County west of Phoenix.

Both law enforcement officials and the NCMEC believe that if Elijah left the state, he would likely have traveled to California, Louisiana, Illinois or Nevada, particularly Las Vegas.

No exact location within California where Elijah could be headed was disclosed.
