Victim found fatally wounded overnight in Auburn Park neighborhood on South Side – Chicago Tribune

Chicago police said a male victim was fatally shot early Tuesday morning on the South Side in the Auburn Park neighborhood.

Shortly before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, an unidentified male was approached by someone who opened fire in his direction in the 7800 block of South Ashland Avenue. The victim was taken with a gunshot wound to the torso to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
