Tuesday forecast: Sunny and breezy, pleasant fall temps for Oct. 1 in Chicagoland

US

The first day of October will bring pleasant, fall-like weather to Chicagoland, though it’ll get pretty breezy.

Early-morning temperatures were already into the 60s around the area.

But a north/northwest breeze, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour, is likely to cool things off a bit later Tuesday morning. Temps will bounce back a bit, however, producing afternoon highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s, which is right in line with normal for Oct. 1 in Chicagoland.

It’ll also be a sunny Tuesday.

Temps will then climb over the next two days to above normal, with highs in the lower 70s for Wednesday and the upper 70s for Thursday, though it’ll likely be a bit cooler along the lake.

Then, the forecast for the first weekend of October looks tremendous, with highs in the 70s and plenty of sunshine.
