East WilCo Highway segment two construction to begin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Construction is set to kick off on segment two of East WilCo Highway Thursday, Williamson County officials announced.

The project will run from County Road (CR) 137 to CR 404, according to a Williamson County release Monday confirming the start of road work. 

Construction is funded by the Williamson County road bond, OK’d by voters in 2023. The segment will connect CR 137 to Farm-to-Market (FM) 3349 at CR 404 once complete. 

Williamson County will host a groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday along Cedar Fork Road in Hutto.
