A man’s sweet gesture for his wife who has always wanted a bathtub at home has melted the hearts of viewers online.
The man, known online as Brennan, had created an at-home spa for his wife, Ashley, by placing an inflatable bathtub inside their walk-in shower and surrounding it with beauty products and candles. The couple, who share the Instagram account @bashabroad, posted a clip of the makeshift spa to the platform on September 23. The post has been viewed more than 8 million times and liked by more than 217,000 viewers to date.
Viewers online could see one-half of the content creator couple, Brennan, cleaning the couple’s shower before inflating the makeshift bathtub. He then filled it up with water, bath oils, and a scented bath bomb. Next, Brennan decorated the room with candles, after which he set up a snack bowl of strawberries, a cup of raspberry tea, and some music on a bath tray—all for his wife to enjoy. To ensure that his wife has the most comfortable experience possible, Brennan topped the inflatable bathtub with a matching inflatable headrest.
Ashley, clearly pleased with the result, had captioned the post: “The way he loves me. I wish this kind of love finds everyone.”
An overlaid text on the video read: “You were tired of your wife not having a bath so you bought her an inflatable one.”
Viewers online have gushed over the charming gesture, with many in the comments section pointing out the attention to detail in Brennan’s at-home spa and how comfortable it looks on camera.
“That actually looks more comfortable than the actual tub,” one viewer, @bynialove, said. “I love taking baths but it hurts my neck and I always slide down. I’ll have to buy this.”
Another, @carolm_kenya, added: “Does he have a brother? Twin? Cousin? Father?”
