Police investigate Topanga shooting that killed a 19-year-old

A 19-year-old man was killed and another victim was injured in a shooting on Saturday in Topanga, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said officers responded to the 11:50 p.m. call about a shooting in the 8300 block of Northgate Avenue.

When responders arrived, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds and transported them to a hospital.

LAPD said one of the victims, the 19-year-old, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.  

The second victim was treated and is in stable condition.
