Fraternal Order of Eagles 2529: 13140 Lake Shore Dr. — The Fraternal Order of Eagles 2529 is sponsoring a fundraiser for Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 28. God First Church: 1119 Grant St — God First Church will have “A New Sound,” featuring LaVonne Jarrett in concert live. The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 29, and admission is free though attendees are asked to bring canned goods to bless seniors of Indiana and Illinois.
