In honor of National Taco Day on Oct.1, Yelp released its ranking of the best taco spots in each state.
For Californians looking to try the best tacos in the Golden State, Birrieria Little Tijuana in Riverside is the place to go.
The restaurant, located in the Lincoln Square Shopping Mall, is known for its quesabirria tacos and consomé.
“By far the best quesabirria tacos I’ve had since eating the ones in Tijuana. The tortillas are crisped to perfection, and the generous portions of birria are so incredibly tasty and juicy. Don’t even get me started on the consomé—I can drink that straight out of the container. It’s so deliciously tasty and piping hot…perfection with each bite of taco,” one Yelp reviewer said.
The restaurant also ranked second on Yelp’s Top 100 U.S. Taco Spots for 2023.
Yelp’s list of the best tacos in each state is based on customer reviews, according to the website.
Yelp noted that the highest demand for tacos was in California, Texas and Arizona.
