AURORA, Ill. — The City of Aurora is welcoming the arrival of autumn this week with its first-ever Fall Food Truck Festival.
The food trucks will roll into downtown Aurora on Friday for the inaugural festival, which organizers say will feature a live DJ, line dancing, giveaways and events for families.
For several years, the city held a Spring Food Truck festival, but organizers said this is the first time the event has taken place in the fall.
According to organizers, 25 food trucks from around Chicagoland will be at the festival, featuring a diverse range of foods from American fare to cultural cuisines.
Friday’s event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Benton Street bridges, between Broadway Avenue and River Street in downtown Aurora.
Admission for the event is free and all vendors accept cash. Most vendors also take credit cards and digital payments.
