Brown is the No. 1 weapon for the Eagles and has emerged as one of the best wide receivers in the league since Philadelphia acquired him from the Tennessee Titans during the 2022 NFL Draft.

In 2022, Brown had 88 receptions for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last year, he had 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro Second Team honors in both seasons.

If Brown is forced to miss multiple weeks, DeVonta Smith will be the team’s No. 1 wide receiver. Smith joins Brown to make up one of the best receiving duos in the league, as he has back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with seven touchdowns. In 2022, he had a career-high 95 receptions in 17 games. Last year, he had 81 catches across 16 games.

Fantasy Football Impact of AJ Brown Injury

With Brown sidelined, both DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert should see more touches moving forward. Additionally, fantasy managers can take a chance on Jahan Dotson, who the Eagles acquired from the Washington Commanders in late August.

Jalen Hurts’ value does go down a little without his top wideout and big play threat. However, he may have to rely on his legs more, which isn’t bad for fantasy purposes.

The player who likely gains the most from Brown’s absence in terms of fantasy production is running back Saquon Barkley. The Eagles will likely rely on Barkley more in both the run and pass game moving forward. His touches should greatly increase as the Eagles look to continue their winning ways without their superstar wide receiver. While Barkley was obviously already a must-start in all leagues, he could be even better in Brown’s absence.
