Donald Trump declares all-caps hatred of Taylor Swift, dismisses her Harris endorsement

Donald Trump threw an online, all-caps hissy fit targeting Taylor Swift on Sunday, declaring his hatred of the pop star.

I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” he blared on his Truth Social network.

Trump’s four-word tantrum came days after songstress Swift posted her endorsement of Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris shortly after the debate between the two nominees concluded last Tuesday.

Earlier indications that Trump was agitated by Swift’s endorsement included his campaign’s new T-shirts that were obvious knockoffs of the pop star’s Eras Tour poster, bearing a large likeness of him against a grid of photos of him in various situations, including his mug shot.

His campaign has been selling the T-shirt for $36 since Thursday, calling it a “Trump Era Shirt” and prompting Swifties to quickly label it Trump’s “Cease & Desist Era,” according to USA Today.

The condemnation came after the Trump campaign spent days dismissing and pooh-poohing the power of Swift’s endorsement, in which she called Harris a “steady-handed, gifted leader” who “fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”

Swift also invoked Trump’s use of an artificially generated image of her purporting to endorse him, saying it had played a role in her decision to go public.

“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site,” she said. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

She signed it “Childless Cat Lady,” a dig at vice presidential GOP candidate JD Vance’s remarks implying that women without children had empty lives filled only by felines.

Trump’s tirade comes at a time when he and Vance are doubling down on their outrageously false and dangerous claims that Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, are eating people’s pets — even as the woman who initially posted the story on social media admits she was mistaken.

His vitriol did not go unnoticed or un-ridiculed.

“Said the smallest man who ever lived,” quipped Republican former Congresswoman Liz Cheney, who recently endorsed Harris along with her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, on Twitter along with a screenshot of the Truth Social post.

For her part, Swift was busy on Sunday watching boyfriend Travis Kelce play with the Kansas City Chiefs, in the wake of her seven-award sweep at the MTV Video Music Awards.
