Brockton’s AJ Dybantsa, the nation’s No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2025, has a knack for making the highly difficult look routine.

His latest feat came Friday night, when he soared in the air and threw down a teammate’s miss over a helpless opponent.

He emerges from outside the frame into the center in a single swoop, elevating and slamming it home in one fluid motion.

Dybantsa, a 6-foot-8 forward making his Utah Prep debut, dazzled with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Utah Prep won the game over Montgomery, 69-48, to advance to the semifinals of the L’Attitude Basketball Classic against NBA Academy.

On3Sports’ Joe Tipton believes Brigham Young University is the front-runner to land Dybantsa, but Tipton said his final destination remains to be seen. Dybantsa isn’t expected to make a decision until February, Tipton said, so a lot could change.

Dybantsa, 17, played for St. Sebastian’s School in Needham before transferring to Utah Prep.
