These 7 fast food chains never use frozen burger patties

Sink your teeth into this.

With the cost of fast food nowadays, customers certainly want to get every cent worth of freshness in their burgers.

Unfortunately, Thetakeout.com reports, that means saying a supersized no to the likes of McDonald’s, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Sonic, and White Castle — all guilty of pushing frozen patties on the overpaying public.

Don’t fret, however, there’s still plenty of fresh beef to go around across the U.S. — and one of them’s an NYC hometown favorite.

The Madison Square Park—originating Shake Shack, known for its pressed burgs and crinkle-cut fries at a premium cost, boasts having a “custom 100% Angus beef blend, never frozen, no hormones or antibiotics ever,” online.

They add that the cattle were “humanely raised and grazed in the USA.”

Another chain popular in New York and many other spots across the nation is the free peanut-slinging Five Guys, whose pricey patties continue to be a favorite with inflation-strapped customers, likely thanks to the abundance of free toppings and an over-the-top surplus of french fries.

“Five Guys’ passion for food is shared with our fans, which is why we never compromise,” the brand, which grills in front of customers writes on its website. “Fresh ingredients hand-prepared that satisfy your craving.”

Next on the list is Wendy’s, a square classic that abides by the message “fresh never frozen.”

“You won’t find frozen pucks passed as a meal at Wendy’s… unlike what the other guys are serving up,” the chain posted online.

“We go the extra mile to ensure we are sourcing only the highest quality beef, and we transport fresh beef in refrigerated trucks to Wendy’s restaurants thousands of times every week.”

West Coasters will also be pleased to know that their “animal style” meals of burgers drowning in melty cheese and Thousand Island dressing at In-N-Out Burger are based around high quality, never-frozen meat.

The 1948 California staple still proudly double doubles down on keeping its products fresh.

“We don’t freeze, pre-package or microwave our food,” In-N-Out writes on its site.

“We make things the old-fashioned way.”

Another LA icon Fatburger also serves fresh, as does the southern chain Whataburger, and also Culver’s, a staple in the Midwest and increasingly in the Sunbelt.
